Council

JLT began in Crescent Bay Council in 1957. Council insignia for JLT is believed to have started in 1961 with the awarding of
special yellow JLT neckerchiefs to participants and staff. Slides and other insignia issued during these years seems limited.
JLT ended in Crescent Bay when a new version called Polaris was introduced in 1965.

Each participant to the 1964 Council JLT
held at Camp Wolverton received one.

Staff Members were awarded this slide instead of the staff version of the
yellow JLT neckerchief in 1964.

Districts

Slides for JLT(Junior Leader Training) were often created by the Districts for their individual events.
The tradition of individual slide making went back a long way in Crescent Bay Area Council. Scouts crafted their own neckerchief slides from whatever materials were readily available. In some cases, such as JLT, making a slide was a program requirement.

Perhaps different color slides were used for different years.

Then again, maybe the
different colors had no meaning.
