Lutheran Camp-Outs

Round-Up Article
May 1970, p. 4

Beginning in 1950, Lutheran scouts and Lutheran sponsored troops from Crescent Bay Council met for an annual camp out. The events were held in various locations and camps over the years and were open to scouts from other councils in the greater Los Angeles area. For three years between 1962-64 and again in 1970-71,  two Lutheran Camp-outs were held annually, one in the spring and another in the fall. It is not known if patches were issued for the first two years in 1950 and 1951.

The LDS Camporees were sponsored and organized by the Santa Monica Stake of the LDS Church but they were not actually Santa Monica District events. LDS scouts from all of the Crescent Bay Area Council were invited and the Camporees were Council-wide.
