Circle B Patches

Circle B Scout Ranch was the last camp opened by Crescent Bay Area Council. But unlike Camps Emerald Bay, Wolverton, Josepho, and Slauson, Circle B did not have a regular staff and was never a summer camp. It was primarily used as a location for camporees held by the districts.
The only souvenirs for Crescent Bay Area Council's Circle B Scout Ranch in the first few years were brands on pieces of leather. Embroidered patches were first available In the early 1960's. The California Condor, an endangered species, was chosen as the camp symbol, a fitting mascot for a ranch centrally located within the rare bird's habitat range of Ventura County.
NOTE: Between 1955-70, Old Baldy Council from Pomona-Ontario, CA, operated a Circle B Scout Ranch located in the High Sierra. Their Circle B Scout Ranch was separate and not linked to Crescent Bay Council's Circle B Scout Ranch.

Circle B brands were applied to
various shapes and sizes of leather.
These souvenirs were used before
a patch was designed for the camp.

Patches NOT From Crescent Bay Circle B Scout Ranch

Old Baldy Council, formerly covering Pomona & Ontario, California, also had a Circle B Scout Ranch that issued patches and neckerchiefs. A sampling of those patches is shown below.
